PAGE President Daerzio Harris

Daerzio Harris is president of the PAGE Board of Directors. A passionate advocate for student success with over 16 years of experience as a Georgia educator, Harris holds a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Georgia Southern University and master’s and specialist degrees in educational leadership from Albany State University. He is an assistant principal at Claxton Middle School in the Evans County Charter Schools System. Since assuming this position in 2023, Harris has been instrumental in driving school improvement initiatives, leveraging his expertise to analyze student achievement data, and fostering collaborative efforts among faculty and staff. Prior to his current role, Harris taught math, science, and social studies at Jeffersonville Elementary School in Twiggs County and middle grades science and social studies in Taliaferro County. He has also taught at Augusta Technical College and Aiken Technical College. In 2022, Harris served on the Georgia Department of Education’s Teacher Burnout Taskforce.
